Give Big To Wish - Town Recycling

Save gas, save the planet, and help our local needy
We bring a box truck or tractor trailer for a few hours to a scheduled place in your town.   Perhaps we could collect at your business, town recycling day,   school or house of worship.  Your group spreads the word locally and provides a few volunteers to help us load our truck that day. It is easy!  This is a great spring or fall project for any group. Service hours provided.

We have families in need that are waiting for your no-longer-needed home and baby goods.  You get a tax write off and they get much needed basic goods.  Give big helps you save on gas and us to quickly get goods out to clients. Give Big is much more cost efficient than home pickups.

  1. Goods are given for free to well-qualified financially needy clients.
  2. Helping us helps more than 60 shelters and other agencies  In order to receive goods clients must be working with a caseworker from a referring social service agency.
  3. The tax deduction usually esceeds what you would get selling goods at a yard sale
  4. The need is greater than ever (~25,000 clients/year)

In 2009 we saved more 550 tons of bulky furniture and other goods from being dumped in landfills.  The best recycling is back into original use.  The Wish Project saved the City of Lowell  $74,796 in tipping fees.
