Donation dock

Thank you to Annie Lagunilla from Wilmington for holding a clothing drive. These clothes will go to many local families in need, keeping them warm as the temperature continues to drop.

We currently have several clothing bins empty, or near empty, and clients in these sizes may not be able to get clothing from us. If you have boys tops in sizes 14-16, boys tops and bottoms in size 18, men’s tops in sizes small and medium, and girls tops in sizes 12-18 that you no longer need, please consider donating so that we are able to pass on to clients in these sizes.

Your Fairy Godmother made two trips to the warehouse recently to drop off newborn baskets and cuddle bundles. These will go to parents who are welcoming a new baby and to toddlers getting their first big kid bed. Clients are always so excited to receive these.
Pat could use some though, she’s always looking for knit or crochet baby blankets and sweaters for the newborn baskets and fleece toddler blankets for the cuddle bundles. If you’re able to make and donate any of these items, be sure to let us know that they’re for Your Fairy Godmother when you drop off at the warehouse.

Thank you to donor Michelle Doran for her generous donation of warm hats that she made. These will keep many local individuals warm and dry as the temps continue to be very cold.

Thank you to Eric Spear and Jennifer Klaassens for their generous donations of cleaning and hygiene products this week. These items were very needed and will go right out to those in need in our community. These clients will feel comfort knowing that they are more able to keep their families clean and healthy during this time. Thank you to all who have helped make our cleaning and hygiene kits possible.

Regular volunteer, Mel, spends his Thursday mornings covering the donation dock. He’s always there to greet you with a friendly smile, ask you to fill out the online donation form, and make sure you sign in. To make this process a little quicker for you, you can fill out the online donation form prior to dropping off your donations! Check it out here https://www.thewishproject.org/drop-off-donation-form/
We gather this important donation information to assist our organization in gaining funding. We couldn’t do what we do without your generous donations! Thank you!

New dock procedures – did you know you can fill out our donation form online before you drop off your donation at the warehouse? If you follow this link it will take you to the donation page and you can fill it out before or after you drop off your donation. Otherwise whoever is working on the dock will give you an Ipad for you to fill it out at that time. We are hoping this will prevent you from standing outside in the cold or in line and move you through the process faster.
