Ashley Yantz was one of this week’s super Saturday volunteers. She is also one of our Board members that support our staff and mission behind the scenes. We are grateful to have an enthusiastic team of Board of Directors that are committed to helping our mission and our clients in any way they can.
Suzanne, Linda and Ann are three of our wonderful Wednesday volunteers. Every week they spend their time sorting and organizing incoming donations and filling the client clothing bins. Without their help Dianne would be buried in bags of unsorted clothing. They also help Grace and Lori fill that days client orders and let them know what we need. Right now we especially need Men’s and Large size Boys long sleeve shirts, Women’s M and L long sleeve shirts, teen girls size 14-18 winter clothes, all plus size clothing Men and Women 2X and up, coats, hats and gloves all ages and sizes. If you have any of these items to donate you can drop off Tuesday-Friday 9-2:30pm and Saturday 9-12:30pm, no appointment necessary. If you are donating any furniture please call first to make sure we have the space or email donategoods@thewishproject.org. If you prefer to shop online we have an Amazon wish list where you can purchase our most needed items and ship direct to us https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/D0WB109LX427… . Thank you for helping us provide warm winter clothing to those in need in Merrimack Valley!
Kathy is today’s super Saturday volunteer. She spent her time sorting and organizing incoming donations and filling the client clothing bins. Thanks to our wonderful weekly volunteers we have gotten through the clothing donations that came in last week and we are back to accepting clothing donations starting Tuesday, 11/17 at 9am. If you are donating mattress sets please call first to make sure we have the space or email donategoods@thewishproject.org. If you prefer to shop online we have an Amazon wish list where you can purchase our most needed items and ship direct to us https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/D0WB109LX427… . Thank you for helping us provide warm winter clothing to our neighbors in need in Merrimack Valley!
Carol and Nancy are two of today’s fantastic Friday volunteers. Today they worked on filling the hats and gloves bins now that the temperatures are dropping. More families are looking for warm hats and gloves to bundle up as they walk to the grocery store. If you have any hats and gloves to spare and can drop off Tuesday-Friday 9-2:30 and Saturday 9-12:30pm, we know our clients would be very grateful. Many of our clients walk to the warehouse, pushing their children in strollers, without adequate clothing for the weather. When Lori see’s them arrive without coats, hats or mittens she outfits them as best she can with what we have on hand. Thank you for helping us provide warm hats and gloves to our neighbors in Merrimack Valley.
Another Wish family member, Tya, volunteered this week, helping her mom, Lori Yutzy sort through the mound of clothing donations that came in last week. Donations were piled so high we were afraid Dianne might have gotten buried under them. Fortunately she wasn’t under the bags.
Steve is one of our terrific Tuesday volunteers. Typically he spends his time sorting and organizing household goods and making small home goods kits for our clients. While Charlie has been out he has been filling in at the donation dock for us. We are so lucky to have so many flexible and dedicated volunteers who can pitch in when needed. Since we are limited to the number of people who can be in the warehouse we are fortunate when they can do more than one job. Dianne better watch out or Steve will start training on her job!
More Wish family members volunteering their time. Dave Yutzy, our volunteer IT guy and John Moore, volunteering at the dock, happen to be helping out on the same day. We are extremely grateful for the help!
Mel is one of our wonderful weekly volunteers. He is usually found sorting and organizing incoming donations with Dianne. Lately while Charlie has been off he can be found accepting donations at the back dock. Mel is extremely outgoing and friendly so if you find yourself in a conversation with him, get comfortable, you may be there awhile! Or steer the conversation to his dogs, he has 2 extremely cute dogs that have stopped in to visit us. We are extremely grateful for our weekly volunteers, without them Dianne wouldn’t even be able to get through the doors.
Sheri was our super Saturday volunteer today. She spent her time sorting and organizing incoming donations and filling the client clothing bins. We are so grateful to our small group of weekly volunteers who keep the warehouse organized and filled. Lori and Dianne could never manage without you!
