Magic of Christmas
October – December
Deadline for dropping off items 12/5/21
Bring magic to a family’s Christmas by getting involved in this project and provide gifts for both families in need and the many that are forgotten during the holidays: mentally challenged adults, home bound senior citizens and street homeless adults. Sponsor one person or a whole family for gifts.
Have a question or looking to set up a drop-off?
How can you help
• Apply to sponsor a family by completing the form below
• Guilt free re-gifting – donate new items that you cannot use or are not to your taste. We won’t tell! We welcome almost anything new as a gift.
• Hold a Collection of toys or other gifts: hand tools, flash lights, diapers/baby wipes, jewelry, hats, gloves (home made are very welcome), pjs, headphones, board games for older kids, dolls, Legos, Matchbox cars, personal care items for teenage boys and girls (body wash, perfume, aftershave), makeup kits, gift certificates, basketballs, baseballs, or footballs. We always especially need items for teens.
• Shop from home by purchasing items from our Amazon Wish list.
We respect families of all kinds and sizes. We believe in a gift for everyone in the family, not just the children. That way, we help the whole family to have a Happy Holiday.
All items must be new for this project.
Think practical: Crafts supplies like markers; paper and Play Dough are always popular. Casual clothing items (fleece pullovers and hooded sweatshirts) are popular with teens and adults. Gifts should be seasonally appropriate: but not too seasonal please. Eg. Santa sweaters get old in March.
Think Healthy: No highly allergenic items (scratchy sweaters or fragrant perfumes). Food items should be avoided.
No pets, plants or anything else that requires tending
No PlayStation/Nintendo games, etc. Board games, hand held games, and learning toys should be substituted.
All unwrapped gifts, price tags removed, packed in a heavy duty black trash bag labeled with the Family ID Code assigned to you for your sponsored family. If there is more than one bag per family, please make sure each bag is properly labeled, 1 of 2, 2 of 2, etc. This makes sure we keep all gifts for a family together.
