Holiday spirit

Thank you to long time supporter Joyce Hamlyn for once again sponsoring families for our Magic of Christmas project. These gifts will go out to our partner agencies and be given out to their clients in time to be under the tree for Christmas. Such a wonderful way of sharing the holiday spirit by helping a family in need in your community. #magicofchristmas #holidayspirit

Food for the holiday

Thank you to Kayla Cutter and her friends for the awesome donation of Market Basket gift cards for our clients. These gift cards will enable our clients to put a meal on their table for Thanksgiving when they might not otherwise have been able to. Such a wonderful example of the community coming together to help their neighbors during this very difficult year.

Christmas magic

Thank you to the McCall & Crowley families for the Christmas families they sponsored and delivered today. Our partner agencies and their caseworkers will be so excited to get these gifts to their clients in time for Christmas. In a year filled with stress and worries this will bring a smile to these families on Christmas morning. Just to know that someone in their community cared enough to help them. #christmasspirit

Student donation drive

Thank you to Chelmsford High School student Joshua Higgins for holding a collection drive to donate toothpaste and deodorant. These basic toiletries are so important to our clients who were already struggling before the pandemic started. We are grateful to our youth donors and schools for encouraging helping the community by reaching out to us and finding out our current needs and how they can help. If you would like to help out like Joshua and earn community service hours for school, scouts or just to give back please email Tina at tina@thewishproject.org and she will be happy to talk to you about some options for holding a donation drive and our current needs.

Mattress sets needed

Thank you to our donor John for the donation of a mattress set last week. There are few things more basic than a bed to sleep on. At the moment we need full and queen mattress sets without rips or stains and adjustable metal bed frames for our clients. If you have one to spare and can drop it off please email donategoods@thewishproject.org and let Grace know you will be delivering one or you can just show up without an appointment because we need them at this time. Thank you for helping us to provide families and individuals in Merrimack Valley with beds to sleep on.

Grateful for donations

Thank you to donor Annie for the donation of clothing and other items dropped off today. We are grateful to our generous donors who drop off much needed items for our clients. We know they will be appreciated by the clients that receive them. Right now we are particularly desperate for warm winter coats for everyone, Women’s Size Medium and Large tops and Girls and Boys XL Sizes 14/16, 18/20 for our teen clients, hats and gloves for everyone and blankets. If you have any of these items in your closet not being worn we would be grateful to get them. Even one coat will be one more client who isn’t cold this winter.

We have just updated our clothing donation drop off process in order to streamline it. We have made the following changes – if you are donating only clothing or soft goods we are open to those donations Tuesday-Friday 9-2:45pm and Saturday 9-12:45pm, no appointment necessary. If you are donating other goods such as housewares and furniture we will continue to schedule those drop offs through our email donategoods@thewishproject.org. We are hopeful that this will make it easier for our donors to drop off their donations at their convenience. Thank you for helping us provide warm winter clothing to our clients in Greater Lowell and Merrimack Valley.
