This is the last week of the fundraiser through Stop and Shop and Hannaford. If you have grocery shopping to do, please consider picking up a bag to benefit The Wish Project.
The Wish Project has been chosen as the benefitting nonprofit in both Stop & Shop and Hannaford Supermarkets Community Bag Programs for the month of February.
When you make your regular grocery purchases at Hannaford at 777 Rogers St in Lowell or Stop and Shop at 299 Chelmsford St Chelmsford, please consider purchasing a reusable Community Bag. The Wish Project will receive $1 from every specially marked bag purchased during the month of February. Don’t need an extra reusable bag? You can donate it to The Wish Project! We will use them to pack up clients items.

No need to go to a store – buy something here with the added benefit and joy of knowing that all of the money raised will go to The Wish Project and will be thoughtfully used to fulfill our mission.

What a year! One of the things that made us at The Wish Project proudest this year is that we never fully shut our doors because of COVID. The need for our assistance did not stop – in fact this is when our clients need us most, and we have been there for them. We can be there for our community only because of your support. With a different kind of holiday season ahead of all of us, we need your support more than ever.
Please consider further supporting your community and The Wish Project as 2020 comes to a close with a tax-deductible gift. I can promise you that your gift will make a tremendous difference.
Your gift helps support our amazing staff of nine who have worked even harder to compensate for the thousands of volunteer hours that we lost because of COVID, our now small (but amazing!) core volunteers, and most importantly our clients.
Here is one example of how we made a difference in our community. At the beginning of June, we received a call from a pregnant Mom whose pregnancy had been determined to be high risk. Plans were made to deliver her baby in just two days – three weeks early. Because of the short notice, she was not as prepared as she expected to be. Within the day we gave her a car seat, a newborn basket, diapers, baby wipes, and toiletries, as well as cleaning products to keep her home safe for herself and her baby. She went to the hospital the next day and gave birth to a beautiful son named Michael.
As the year 2020 comes to a close, we continue to be humbled and grateful for the support that the community has shown for The Wish Project. We are truly making a difference.
