winter clothing

One client picked up basic items for his family yesterday. They received Cuddle Bundles and clothing. All essential items for our already struggling clients. We are grateful to our generous donors who supply us with the items we need when we need them.

Lorna from Lowell Community Health Center picked up basic items for one family recently. They received diapers, baby wipes, coats, clothing and shoes. All essential items for our already struggling clients. Diapers and warm winter clothing are two of the most requested items at this time. We can’t keep clothes in stock sufficient to cover all the requests we receive. The minute a clothing bin gets filled, Lori pulls another client order and empties the bin all over again. Right now we need Size 3T/4T and 4T/5T Pull Ups, Size 4 Diapers, Women’s Size M and L long sleeve shirts, Men’s long sleeve shirts all sizes, Coats for the whole family and Men’s and Women’s hat and gloves. If you have any of these items to donate you can drop off Tuesday-Saturday 9-2:45pm no appointment necessary. If you are donating furniture please call first to make sure we have the space or email donategoods@thewishproject.org. If you prefer to shop online we have an Amazon wish list where you can purchase our most needed items and ship direct to us https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/D0WB109LX427… . Thank you for helping us provide basic items to our neighbors in Merrimack Valley!

Sheri was our super Saturday volunteer today. She spent her time sorting and organizing incoming donations and filling the client clothing bins. We are so grateful to our small group of weekly volunteers who keep the warehouse organized and filled. Lori and Dianne could never manage without you!
Carol is one of our fantastic Friday volunteers. Today she spent her time searching for men’s long sleeve t-shirts in Size M and L to fill the client clothing bins. We are desperately low on both men’s and women’s long sleeve shirts in Size M and L to give out to the many clients who are reaching out to us for warm winter clothing. We also need teen clothing Size 14-18, boy’s clothes Size 2T, coats for the whole family, diaper bags, toasters and laundry soap. If you have any of these items to spare we would be grateful to get them. Even one item would be one less client who leaves without something on their wish list.

We have just updated our clothing donation drop off process in order to streamline it. We have made the following changes – if you are donating only clothing or soft goods we are open to those donations Tuesday-Friday 9-2:30pm and Saturday 9-12:30pm, no appointment necessary. If you are donating other goods such as housewares and furniture we will continue to schedule those drop offs through our email donategoods@thewishproject.org. We are hopeful that this will make it easier for our donors to drop off their donations at their convenience.
