At this time, we are unable to accept furniture donations as our warehouse is at its max capacity. Please contact our friends at Household Goods if you have furniture you’d like to pass on to those in need. Thank you!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of July 1, 2024, After careful consideration and assessment of our community needs and our resources at hand, we have made the decision to discontinue furniture assistance to clients. We will continue to honor in-process requests until September 1, 2024. However, we are committed to ensuring that families and individuals in need continue to receive the support they seek.

Due to the challenges of securing furniture donations. We believe that the community will be better served by another organization that is dedicated solely to furnishing homes for individuals and families in need. We are now directing those in need of furniture to Household Goods in Acton.

We will continue to accept furniture donations (except for beds, mattresses, and box springs) at our warehouse on behalf of Household Goods. We will be following the guidelines set forth by Household Goods for all furniture items, and so you may find that furniture items we have accepted in the past, are no longer accepted. Please review their donation guidelines carefully before dropping off a donation. We also encourage donors to drop off furniture items directly at their location at 530 Main Street, Acton, MA 01720 during their regular donation hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9am-noon. (Note: Saturday donation hours during the summer are extended until 2pm.)

The Wish Project will continue to fulfill wishes such as household goods, baby gear, and car seats and provide project goods: backpack attack, holiday magic, Mother’s Day bags, and BITS (basic items for toddler success) all of which play an important role of improving the lives of those in need in our community. We gladly still accept in-kind donations towards these efforts based on our own donation guidelines below.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we are looking forward to continuing our mission of providing basic goods to people in crisis.

How to Drop-Off a Donation

Unfortunately, we have no way to pickup items. PLEASE do not leave items outside when we are not open. Weather, rodents, and bugs can get inside bags and it costs us hundreds of dollars per dumpster to dispose of them. Clothing and soft goods donations may be made Tuesday – Saturday from 9:00 am- 2:45pm (from 9:00 – 11:45am on Saturday from July 1st through Labor Day). Please contact us to book a time for other items.
