Donation Guidelines
Please note: This is a list of items that we generally need. Our immediate needs are listed under “Current Needs”, which is updated as needs change. Because our warehouse is small, please call ahead before dropping off furniture, mattresses and larger items to ensure that we have the need and the room at that time. Thank you!
Very heavy or large furniture items cannot be accepted, even if in good condition, as they either won’t fit in our clients’ homes or are too difficult for our clients to move them up flights of stairs. Do not bring heavily used items, items that are not on our accepted list, and items that are nonfunctional/outdated. If donating clothes that are in poor shape, label the bag as “recycle” and we can sell it to a recycler. We do appreciate you taking a minute to clean and/or fix items before donating.
We do not have a truck to pick up items and we do not take books or used toys.

Clothing
Clean casual clothes for all ages, shoes, coats, belts, bras, socks, and baby clothing. We appreciate it when clothing is donated during the season when it is needed.

We especially appreciate small kitchen tables (preferably 4 feet or smaller), tall dressers (not long/large dressers) and loveseats as our clients often live in small apartments and often have flights of stairs to contend with.
If it only needs paint or a screw, please consider doing that before donating.

Before You Drop Off a Donation
Please be sure to review our donation guidelines for items that we accept, fill out a drop off form, and check our drop off hours.
How to Drop Off a Donation
Unfortunately, we have no way to pickup items. PLEASE do not leave items outside when we are not open. Weather, rodents, and bugs can get inside bags and it costs us hundreds of dollars per dumpster to dispose of them. Clothing and soft goods donations may be made Tuesday – Saturday from 9:00 a.m.- 2:45pm (from 9:00 – 12:45 on Saturday from July through Labor Day). Please contact us to book a time for other items.
